Akshi - As I See Her

AKSHI is a powerful reimagining of the life and legacy of Queen Madurai Meenakshi. Blending the dynamic language of Kathak, Carnatic music, Konnakol, and Silambam, this one-hour production bridges North and South Indian traditions, while English dialogue brings Meenakshis story to contemporary audiences. The production explores Meenakshi as a strategic ruler, courageous warrior, and a woman navigating strength, vulnerability, and self-definition.

Seen through the lens of a 21st-century artist, AKSHI connects Meenakshi's story to the experiences of young women today. It celebrates leadership, resilience, courage, and the freedom to define one's own identity, reminding us that powerful stories can transcend geography, gender, and time.
