Bahraini artist Mohamed Al-Obaidly presents four special musical evenings titled “Vintage Solo” as part of Muharraq Nights. The performances will take place on December 11, 18, 20, and 27, 2025, at the Haeen Sedra Al-Waqe Exhibition near Beit Jamshir in Frig Al-Shyukh, an exhibition known for showcasing rare vintage and heritage collectibles.
Al-Obaidly, celebrated for his melodies inspired by Bahraini identity, explains that the concept of “vintage” reflects offering rare, high-value musical works. The evenings will feature a selection of traditional songs by artists shaped by the region’s musical heritage—from sailor and dawn chants to the art of sound and folk works by Mohammed bin Fares, Dahi bin Walid, Mohamed Zayed, Youssef Foni, Abdullah Bu Sheikh, Ahmad Al-Jameeri, Salman Ziman, and Ali Bahr. As a native of the area, Al-Obaidly will also perform original pieces carrying the authentic Bahraini spirit. The intimate courtyard setting of Hanin Sadra promises a warm, home-like atmosphere that encourages close audience interaction.
