Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum
A Journey Through Time and Place at One of the World’s Largest Personal Museums

Established in 1998, the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is the visionary creation of His Excellency Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani, driven by his lifelong passion for collecting historically significant artifacts from Qatar and around the world.

With a truly global perspective, the museum houses more than 40,000 unique pieces, making it one of the world’s most renowned private collections—a modern-day “cabinet of curiosities.”

Visitors can explore over 30 exhibition halls, each themed to showcase the interconnectedness of human creativity and cultural expression across time and place. The diverse collection includes Qatari and international heritage artifacts, rare weaponry, historical carpets, woodwork and metalwork, a dedicated Qur’an room, vintage vehicles (including rare classic cars and trucks), fossils, coins, jewelry, archaeological items, a sports section, Sheikh Faisal’s personal memorabilia, and much more. You’ll also discover pieces that highlight Islamic visual culture across regions such as Eastern Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia.
