…Audrey II, the man-eating alien plant, first pops up after the cosmic event and lands in the arms of one sweet florist who is down on his luck.
Seymour’s unique-looking plant, named after his work crush, soon becomes the talk of the town, and instrumental in saving their jobs and Mr. Mushnik’s skid row flower shop. Gone are the days where there’s hardly a customer; now, the phones are ringing off the hook for flower orders.
As his leafy new friend grows, so does Seymour’s popularity — especially with the garden clubs. And suddenly, the girl of his dreams is looking at him in a new light.
Little Shop of Horrors brilliantly wraps a sordid tale of capitalist temptation and moral decay in layers of sweetness, humor, wit and camp.
