Mathaf houses a unique world-class collection of modern and contemporary art from the Arab world and its cultural and historical connections. Founded in 2010, Mathaf is located in a former school building in Education City, established by Qatar Foundation (QF). The museum’s collection, co-owned by Qatar Museums and Qatar Foundation, includes more than 9,000 artworks, making it the world’s largest specialized collection of its kind.
