This Overnight Wild Desert Camping experience takes you out of Doha in the afternoon and drops you straight into a movie-scene desert: sand dunes, a crackling campfire, light brush of waves in the background and sunrise from the top of the sand.
Your adventure starts from pick up anywhere within Doha City. On the way out, you’ll stop at a camel area where you can hop on for a short ride (optional, paid on-site), then continue with a scenic desert drive, passing the famous Singing Sand Dunes and pausing at a gorgeous viewpoint for photos.
From there, you head towards the Inland Sea, one of Qatar’s most spectacular spots where the dunes roll straight into the water. After soaking in the view, you’ll arrive at your wild desert campsite, tucked between the dunes – far enough from the city to enjoy complete silence and a sky full of stars.
At camp, your tents and sleeping bags are ready for you. As the sun sets, you can climb a nearby dune for sunset views before gathering around the bonfire (weather permitting). A freshly prepared dinner is served under the open sky, followed by time to simply relax, chat, and enjoy stargazing without any city light pollution. Basic lighting is set up around camp, but the Milky Way does most of the work.
After a cozy night in your tent, you’ll wake up to the stillness of the desert and head back up the dunes for a sunrise viewing – a calm, golden start to your day. A simple breakfast and bottled water are included before you pack up and begin the return journey to Doha, arriving with sand in your shoes and a very different kind of Qatar in your memory.
